This October, take on a steps challenge that supports more than just your fitness – it helps change lives.
We’re challenging you to move with purpose and raise vital funds for Step One, Devon’s mental health and wellbeing charity. These funds are a lifeline for people across our community who are facing mental health challenges.
Whether you’re walking through your local park, running tails, or wheeling your way around town, every step makes a difference.
– 100,000 steps (47 miles) Approx. 3,000 steps a day
– 300,000 steps (142 miles) Approx. 9,500 steps a day
– 500,000 steps (236 miles) Approx. 16,000 steps a day
Challenge your friends, family, and colleagues to join you or see who can take on the most steps. There’s no one-size-fits-all way to take part: this is your journey, your pace, your impact. Walk it, Run it. Wheel it. Just keep moving because Every Step Counts.
Mental health challenges are rising across Devon, affecting more people ever, and many of them are our friends, family, neighbours, and colleagues.
By joining Every Step Counts, you’re not just moving, you’re taking action. Your £10 entry fee and every pound you raise will help to deliver vital mental health support for those who need it most.
Every step you take will help someone in need take their first step toward support and recovery.
“I could feel myself relapsing, going towards a breakdown again and I needed to get out and find something to do so I started walking. My mum suggested the men’s wellbeing walk and I enjoy coming here each week and seeing the blokes. It’s nice to be around people who understand.”
During the month of October, Step One invites your business to step up for mental health with your own personalised challenge. Whether it’s a 5K walk during lunch break on World Mental Health Day, or a team-wide steps challenge throughout October, you can make a meaningful impact for mental health in Devon. Boost team morale, promote physical activity, and make a difference in your community.
Complete the form below and our Fundraising Team will be in touch to discuss participation options for you and your team.
Thank you to our partner John Lewis Exeter for their support of the Every Step Counts challenge. Their commitment to mental health awareness helps us raise more funds for critical services in our community.
