Torquay Wellbeing Walk – Babbacombe

Available to all, this walk is designed to support people in increasing their activity levels and building connections with each other and the environment.
Available to all, this walk is designed to support people in increasing their activity levels and building connections with each other and the environment.
This walk takes in the sights, sounds and smells of Babbacombe and St Marychurch. It includes a stroll through Tessier Gardens, St Marychurch Precinct and along the beautiful Babbacombe Downs.
If you come along for a walk, it will also give you the opportunity to have a chat about your general wellbeing, benefit from peer support, and to discuss our range of wellbeing groups, courses, workshops and activities provided by BeWell@StepOne.
This session is open to everyone in Devon over the age of 18.
When: Fortnightly on Fridays, meet at 2pm and depart at 2.15. Finishes approx. 3.15pm

Where: The walk Starts at Cary Park Tennis Club, Cary Ave, Torquay TQ1 3QT. We meet at the Clubhouse next to the courts.
Walk difficulty: Easy (flat, with only a few minor inclines and declines. Paved paths and lowered curbs at crossing points). Toilet facilities and refreshment outlets available on the route.
Distance: Approx. 2.2 miles

What to bring: Suitable footwear and clothing. We walk at a gentle pace allowing us to be as accessible as possible for all abilities and will do our best to pace the walk to the needs of our slowest walker.
If you do have any physical health conditions that would be adversely impacted by gentle to moderate walking, then please check with your GP before participating. Please also bring a completed ICE card with you in case of emergency.
