This walk leaves from Buckland Community Centre and heads towards Kingsteignton and back, on the edge of Newton Abbot’s town centre. The Hackney Marshes contain an odyssey of wetland wildlife with an abundance of species to observe en route, including beetles, moorhens, sticklebacks, swans, and ducks. Fragments of an old orchard and ornamental plants exist from Green Hill House.
It’s a short walk of approximately 3 miles, and being very accessible, you can drop out into nearby amenities. Alternate walking options exist and there can be a coffee stop if needed.
